Design it, wear it, own it

More than a hoodie: a rite of passage reimagined as a creative learning experience.

Leavers clothing is a milestone every year group looks forward to. This workshop makes sure they remember making it too. Your group briefs, brands or designs the artwork themselves, with WrapandCover.co.uk providing the format to do it.

Choose from hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats or school uniform items. We stock over 120 lines in our catalogue, all of which can be decorated as part of this workshop. We produce the finished garments in house or as part of the learning experience. Delivered on-site at your venue.

We know hoodies are not always the preferred choice of headteachers, which is why we offer over 120 types of blank garment from cardigans to caps.

Three ways to run it

Own Artwork Design

Lowest cost

Participants work from their own artwork, a collaborative group design or a preapproved template. Garments are heat pressed in house. A six-hour workshop with four to five hours of design and a one to two hour fashion show reveal. Up to 30 participants per session.

Creating a Brand

Medium to high cost

Students create a name, colours and a logo. Eight hours in total. Garments are pressed live on site with supervision. We need at least one week to process the artwork, and production takes two to three hours. Best for older children.

Designer-Led

Medium to high cost

A designer is selected from the brief. Eight hours in total: two 2-hour sessions or one 4-hour design session, with at least one week to process the artwork. Live pressing is optional. Up to 25 to 30 participants.

For schools: the workshop supports KS3 and KS4 Design and Technology and Art and Design, doubles as careers education contributing to Gatsby Benchmarks 4 and 5, and can count towards Arts Award (Discover or Explore).

The reveal

We come to you, at a venue of your choice. We supply the teaching content and a sizing set so each student knows their correct size before ordering. We work with you beforehand to agree the art medium and project brief, then produce a template ready for the session. Each design is assessed for the correct print application, which takes at least one week. Garments are then pressed live on site or in house at WrapandCover.co.uk. We can offer embroidery, but this is produced off site.

Two ways to pay

Route 1: invoice the school or group

50% deposit, with the 50% balance due before pressing. Works for individual or shared designs across all three models.

Route 2: online shop

We build a custom shop page for your group and each student or family orders and pays individually. The workshop fee is a single up-front invoice and a set-up fee applies, agreed on the call. Only available with one shared group design. Garments are ordered through the Leavers Collection.
